TFT Trailers is a privately owned company founded in 2001 by Peter Venables and Mike Hellman located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Living in an area of Canada where the riding season is short, Peter was frustrated by the lack of enclosed trailers you could haul comfortably with a small car or SUV. Peter approached Mike with the idea of building a lightweight enclosed trailer and TFT was formed.

Consequently, they made the following commitments to themselves.

	They would found a company to manufacture motorcycle trailer products of the highest possible quality keeping in mind they must be affordable.
	The trailers this company would develop would provide the best possible protection for the customers valued possessions while being hauled.
	TFT Trailer design would be based on a trailer to be hauled by a small car like a Volkswagen Beetle and be able to house a full sized motor bike i.e. a Decker.
	TFT Trailers would provide the highest levels of customer satisfaction and service available anywhere!

Peter and Mike tested the quality of these trailer products. In 2002, they provided bike trailers to motorcycle owners and retailers of motorcycles for quality evaluation. The information received from these groups has helped lay the foundation for the TFT Trailers tradition: a dedication which first concentrated on the quality of a new exciting motorcycle trailer product, and now is expanding to include the discovery and development of new and better hauling systems.

Once these trailer were out on the road, new and interesting uses were realized for the trailer - hauling camping gear, plywood, furniture, garden tractors, quads, oxygen bars, and the list goes keeps getting longer.

Peter and Mike have had a hands-on approach to the development of the company from day one. Each contributes a distinctive talent to the company. Together they have established a culture in which the TFT Trailer team members are viewed as the company's most valuable assets; this belief is still the cornerstone of our company philosophy.
