Security and fine quality of tablet packing are two aspects that must be kept in mind by the manufacturer if he wants to win the buyer’s trust. The packaging is supposed to preserve against external factors, possibly altering the pharmaceutical’s characteristics (for example light or high temperature). What is more, it is supposed to protect against mechanical damage and biological contamination. Most importantly, however, it is supposed to allow decent product recognition. Therefore, the packaging must include the name of the regularly applied active substance contained in the given pharmaceutical product. If more of them is implemented, all must be named and a plus symbol should be placed between them. The package must also include info on whether the drug is designated for infants, kids or adults. The method of dosage, the warnings regarding the place and manner of storage, the expiry date, name and address of the entity responsible, the marketing permission number, batch number and guidance for dosage must also be provided if the pharmaceutical product is sold without a prescription. Situating symbols such as sweets, toys or balloons on them is rigidly prohibited. This could result in a patient being confused and considering the medicine as for instance food.
